Faith & Grind began in June 2017 to provide expertise basketball teaching along with internal human-building skills that are essential for life’s journey. Mike Buffalo (Founder) — believes any human being that demonstrates a strong work ethic & has ultra confidence in his/her self are on the path to success. Faith & Grind is not affiliated with any religious/ethnic backgrounds or spiritual groups. The words “Faith & Grind” are to have self-confidence & a willpower to succeed.
Bio of Mike Buffalo
Mike Buffalo (born September 9th 1991) is a former American Professional Basketball Player who played in the United Kingdom from 2014 to 2016. Buffalo played college basketball at York University in York, Nebraska.
Buffalo served as an AAU Coach at “House of Sports” (Westchester, NY) from 2015 to 2018 & became a Jr. NBA Clinician with the Brooklyn Nets in June 2018. In July 2019, Buffalo traveled to Beijing, China to coach his first international basketball camp for the kids of Beijing.
Buffalo launched his very own Youth Basketball Program (June 2017) in which he named it “Faith & Grind Basketball” locally in the Westchester County (NY) area. This program consist of Private 1 on 1 Basketball Training Lessons, Skills Clinics, Basketball Camps, Youth Teams, Apparel, & Mentorship.
High School Career (2006 - 2010)
Buffalo graduated from South Kent Prep in Connecticut. Buffalo averaged 10 points & 4 rebs per game on a loaded team in which many of his ex-teammates are currently playing professionally today such as Nik Stausksas (NBA) & Russ Smith (NBA/Asia). Buffalo was a standout player at the Legendary iS8 Basketball Tournament held in Queens, NY. Buffalo was All Tournament at New Jersey (NJ) Playaz Spring Fling (2009) & Hoop Group Pittsburgh Jam Fest (2009). Buffalo played AAU Ball alongside Lance Stephenson (NBA) & Tobias Harris (NBA). Buffalo was also a High School McDonald All-American Nominee in 2010.
College Career (2010 - 2014)
Buffalo Graduated from York University (Nebraska) with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration & managed to attain a 3.0 GPA upon graduation. Buffalo’s career night came in Feb. 2014 when Buffalo scored 28 points on 11-16 FGS, 8 rebs, 4 assists, 3 steals. Buffalo was a role model figure in the small town of York, Nebraska. Buffalo averaged 14.8 points per game & 5.3 rebs at New Mexico Military Institute & was selected to the honorable mention team of the Western Junior College Athletic Conference (WJCAC) during the 2010-2011 season.
Professional Career (2014 - 2017)
Buffalo began his Professional Career with the Mansfield Giants (UK) of the England Basketball League. Buffalo played there for 2 seasons. Buffalo averaged 29 points per game during his two seasons in Mansfield. Buffalo was honorable mention for England Basketball’s “Player of The Year” award during the 2014-2015 season. Buffalo once practiced locally with the Westchester Knicks of the NBA G-League.
